Once upon a time, Emperor Akbar was fond of testing the wit and intelligence of his courtier, Birbal. One day, he asked Birbal, "Can you tell me the difference between truth and falsehood in just three words?"
Birbal thought for a moment and replied, "Come with me."
The two of them went to a nearby village where Birbal entered a weaver's shop and purchased a piece of cloth. They then went to a goldsmith and sold the cloth to him, claiming that it was pure gold.
The goldsmith tested the cloth and found out that it was indeed not gold. He was furious and demanded an explanation from Birbal and Akbar.
Birbal calmly replied, "The truth is that this cloth is not gold, but we sold it to you as gold. The falsehood is that you believed it to be gold."
The goldsmith was ashamed and apologized for his mistake. Akbar was impressed with Birbal's wisdom and declared him the winner of the test.
The moral of the story is that truth is always the truth, and falsehood is always a falsehood. It doesn't matter how convincing a lie may seem, it can never change the reality of the truth.
